“The preservation of our liberty depends on the informed participation of our citizens.” Ronald Reagan

Why you should get out there and protest!

1. Protest works.

  • Nonviolent protest has a proven track record of stopping authoritarian drift.
  • It can change outcomes, not just express opinion.

2. It changes the atmosphere.

  • Protest signals that:the public is not silent and power is being challenged openly.
  • It breaks the illusion that extreme actions are “normal.”

3. It builds community and organization.

  • Being physically present with others:Creates networks and strengthens collective action.
  • Movements grow from shared presence, not just online activity.

4. It influences politics and elections.

  • It shapes public opinion.
  • It affects voter turnout.
  • It pressures leaders and institutions.

5. It empowers individuals.

  • People feel they are making a difference—and they are!
